Mulhacén Labs is an independent digital product studio and AI consultancy based in southern Spain, founded by Barry Faassen — a senior software engineer with over 25 years of professional experience.

Our background

Before founding Mulhacén Labs, Barry spent years building mission-critical systems for organizations like Fugro, Shell, Rabobank, Deltares, and SITA.

That means geotechnical data platforms with 30+ years in production, financial rating engines processing complex models, 3D subsurface simulators for oil exploration, and airport equipment control software.

We bring that same standard of architecture, testing, and maintainability to every project — whether it's a EUR 500 AI audit or a EUR 50,000 platform build.
