Take card payments straight to your own bank

Hospedo guests can now pay for a booking on their bank's secure page, with the money settling directly to the property owner's own account — no middleman.

Direct bookings are only really direct if the money is direct too. With this release, a property that has its own bank card terminal can take payment for a booking without any platform sitting between the guest and the owner's bank. The guest pays, and the funds settle straight into the owner's own account.

Here is how it works for a guest. After a booking is approved, they receive a payment link. Opening it takes them to their bank's own secure payment page — the same trusted checkout they would see anywhere else — where they enter their card details and pay. The moment the payment goes through, the booking is confirmed automatically and everyone gets an email. The property never sees or stores card numbers; all of that stays with the bank, exactly where it should.

We paid special attention to the messy real world. If a guest pays and then closes the tab before the page finishes loading, their booking still confirms on its own within a few minutes — no lost payments, no confused guests, no owner chasing anything. If a card is declined, the booking simply stays open and the owner can send a fresh payment link with one click. And a booking is never marked as paid unless the bank has genuinely confirmed the money — there are no optimistic guesses.

For owners, it means offering a proper "pay now" experience on their own terms, keeping their existing bank relationship, and paying no commission to a booking platform for the privilege. It is the same idea behind everything we build for hospitality: keep the guest relationship, the data, and now the money where they belong — with the property.
