Welcoming new hosts to Hospedaje, the secure way

Property owners now join the Hospedaje portal through a personal invitation and set their own password — no shared logins, no waiting on us.

Onboarding a new accommodation owner onto the Hospedaje portal used to mean we set up their login behind the scenes and handed them a password. It worked for our very first property, but it doesn't scale — and sharing passwords is never how you want to start a trusted relationship.

So we rebuilt how hosts join. Now, when we welcome a new owner, they receive a personal invitation by email. They click the link, choose their own password, and they're straight into their dashboard. We never see or set that password — it's theirs from the very first moment. The invitation link works once and quietly expires after a week, so there's nothing lingering to misuse, and we can always send a fresh one if life gets in the way.

Behind the scenes this also means we can decide exactly what each host sees from day one — bookings, guest check-in, or both — and the whole experience arrives in their own language, whether that's Spanish, English, or Dutch. Existing owners don't have to do anything; their logins keep working exactly as before.

It's a small thing the host barely notices, which is rather the point: joining should feel effortless and safe. This is the first step of a larger piece of work to make the Hospedaje portal a proper home for every owner we bring on board.
