Helping our partner sites get found on Google
The Visita Las Alpujarras site now vouches for its partner subdomains, so businesses like Iron House Gym get discovered faster.
Some of the businesses we work with live on their own corner of the Visita Las Alpujarras site — for example, Iron House Gym in Ugíjar has its own address at ironhousegym.visitalasalpujarras.es. Each of these sites already hands Google a tidy list of its pages, but Google was treating them as strangers: with no signal from the main site vouching for them, their pages sat in limbo, marked "unknown" and never showing up in search.
This update makes the main Visita Las Alpujarras site act as a directory that points to its partner sites. Instead of a single flat list of its own pages, the site now publishes a master list that says "here are my pages, and here are my trusted partners' pages too." That parent endorsement is a much stronger nudge for Google to go and properly index those partner sites.
The best part is how easily it grows. Adding a new partner site to the directory is now a one-line settings change — no new code, no rebuild. As more businesses come online with their own pages, we can point Google at them in seconds. Nothing about the existing site changed for visitors; the same web address works exactly as before. The difference is entirely behind the scenes, where it quietly helps every partner site earn the search visibility it deserves.
