Hospedo gets a 'Mi web' editor — owners can update their property copy themselves

A new admin section lets property owners edit their headline, about, policies, contact details, and per-room descriptions in Spanish and English without contacting us.

hospedo product update

When a Hospedo property owner wanted to change a room description or update their check-in time, they had to send us a message and wait for the change to go live. That bottleneck was holding back how fast we could onboard new properties — every new tenant meant new content edits passing through us.

The new "Mi web" section in the Hospedo admin panel changes that. Owners sign in to their property's admin URL, click the Mi web link in the header, and edit their copy directly: the property headline, a longer "about" paragraph, house rules, contact phone and email, check-in / check-out times, and a description for each of their rooms — all in Spanish and English. Each save shows an inline "Guardado ✓" confirmation right next to the field, with no full-page reload. If the save fails (for instance because the connection drops), the editor shows an inline error indicator and keeps the text you just typed so you don't lose your edit.

Behind the scenes, the editor stores its values in a new content layer that runs alongside the existing booking database. When a new tenant comes online, the system seeds their contact details and check-in / check-out times from the property's existing configuration — so nothing is blank when the owner first opens the editor. Once an owner has edited a field, that field is theirs forever; subsequent rollouts never overwrite owner edits. The structural side of the property — pricing, capacity, room IDs, photos — stays in the operator-managed configuration, and stays our responsibility.

This is Phase 5a of the Hospedo roadmap. The values the owner saves are persisted today; the public booking page reads them in a follow-up that ships next. We split the work so the editing surface could go in front of owners as soon as it was ready, while we resolved the design questions for how the new copy appears on the public-facing page. Photo library editing follows in Phase 5b. If you run a property on Hospedo and want to try it out, your admin panel already has the new "Mi web" link.
